Job Summary
We are seeking an Accounting Assistant to join our team to support our Controller with general bookkeeping, including but not limited to accounts receivable and accounts payable. The person must be a team player, detail oriented, strong numerical aptitude, organized, and problem solver with good communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of journal entries and general ledger maintenance
- Accounts Receivable (invoice customers, collect and enter payments into accounting software)
- Reconcile bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Help with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Controller which may vary from month to month
Minimum Qualifications and Skills
- Bookkeeping experience is required (minimum 1 year)
- Bilingual ( Russian/Ukrainian) (preferred)
- Excellent communication skills and team player.
- Working towards an associate degree or bachelor’s degree in Bookkeeping or Accounting is required
- Experience with QuickBooks desktop, Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent with data entry
- Able to follow instructions and learn new systems
- Highly self-motivated, detailed, flexible and dependable
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 per hour DOE
Holliday bonus
